Frequently Asked Questions

What Is A Vaporizer?

A personal vaporizor consists of a heating element (atomizer) and a power source (battery). It vaporizes flavored e-liquid, either with or without nicotine. Personal vaporizers are an alternative delivery method of nicotine for user who are switching over from real cigarettes.

What Is In E-Liquid?

E-liquid consists of VG and PG, otherwise known as Vegetable Glycerin and Propylene Glycol. Both of these chemicals are commonly found in normally consumed products such as artificial sweeteners and albuterol inhalers. Do note that a small percentage of the general population is allergic to propylene glycol, so we do carry 100% vegetable glycerin e-liquid flavors.

What Is An Atomizer & How Often Do I Need To Change It?

An atomizer is a heating element that uses a conductive coil wrapped around a silica wick. This is what vaporizes your e-liquid. Typically these expensive components are changed out every 5-15 days depending on vaping usage.

How Does An E-Cig Work?

Activating the button of the battery will send power to the heating element (atomizer) which then vaporizes the e-liquid in the tank for inhalation. The e-liquid has a very low boiling point, thus it is able to vaporize almost immediately after the button is activated.

What's The Difference Between Smoking & Vaping?

Smoking cigarettes requires actual combustion of all ingredients in the cigarette. This includes the tobacco, tar, and carcinogens. This combustion, along with all of the aforementioned chemicals, is harmful to the lungs. Vaping requires no combustion and is void of any tar or carcinogens. There are no known harmful side effects to vaping e-liquid.

Where Can I Vape?

Vaping can legally be done anywhere smoking cigarettes can be done, with the addition of some indoor establishments. However be weary that any establishment may choose to be a "Vape-Free" zone. Here at The Vapor Spot, we encourage everybody to respect each establishment's rules as it promotes more positive sentiment towards the vaping community.

Is There Any Maintenance Required With Vaping?

Personal vaping devices are low maintenance and only require the refilling of juice into the tank, the replacement of the heating coil (atomizer), and the charging of the battery. Cleaning of the e-liquid tank is not required, but is recommended if you want the purest taste of every flavor anytime they are switched.

Can You Use Other Substances With E-Cigs?

Electronic cigarettes can only take e-juice flavoring, however we do carry specialized herbal and concentrate vaporizers.

What Are The Benefits Of Herbal Vaporizers?

Much like the benefits of e-cig vaporizers over normal cigarettes, herbal vaporizers negate the need to enhale combusted materials which can be harmful for the lungs. Using herbal vaporizers can also conserve herbs longer than other devices that require combustion, leaving more money in your pocket. Vaporization of herb also yields a faster dissipating smell.
